I can highly recommend Pilot Kakuno or TWSBI for your next fountain pen. Personally a good quality fountain pen to start your fountain perm journey with is important so we learn the standard of what a good fountain pen feels like without breaking the bank. I am not saying your current ones aren’t good since I am not familiar with them. But from your comment about the angle and how the tine just suddenly bent like that, I am just wondering if they are the right ones for you. Thanks for sharing!

Sketch ink has never given me problem in my fountain pens. I use them in TWSBI, lamy, sailor, kaweco broad nib. Just don't leave the pen unused for weeks at a time. Not good to ignore any inked fountain pen

Enjoyed the video. I am an old artist new to using fountain pens , too. I'm going to be getting the Platinum Carbon ink & Sailor Fude pen. After seeing your video, I am also going to be getting the syringes to avoid the mess & waste. I totally agree that filling the converters via dunking the nib into the bottle is not the most efficient method. Thanks for sharing your experience & excitement 😊

Platinum Carbon Black is fabulous. I have it in my Lamy Al-Star (F nib), TWISBI Eco (M nib) and in two different dude pens (Including a Sailor). You may find it easier to draw with your dude pen if you hold it at more on a 45 degree angle.

With the artist dates, I tailored them to suit my accessibility needs :) For example: one artist date involved me exploring my spirituality by getting a tarot reading, another artist date was me coloring in an adult coloring book. For the morning pages I do one page, and if anything comes up through out my day that I need to vent about/write down I go ahead and do that. Your journey is unique to you. For the first time today I used my laptop to write my morning page, because.. I needed a break from writing by hand. I could have seen the obstacle and just skipped today, but I didn't. These little moments would have been moments where I would self sabotage myself, and I want to stop doing that. Thank you for sharing your experience! The other thing I noticed was that I could visualize myself in a beautiful garden with my guardian angels, and what's nice is that I have no disability when I just go there! In that meditative space we sit and talk about things. Before the artist way, I couldn't visualize this so there you go!

I'm on week 4 currently and I kinda adjusted the morning pages to suit my lifestyle. I set a timer for 15 to 30 minutes depending on time available and write as much possible on A4 size note book. Sometimes it's one page or a page an half. On days when I have the luxury of time I can go upto 3 pages or more if need be. And also I don't write them upon rising. I write at mid morning or lunch or night before going to sleep. What matters most is that the pages help you reflect and redirect.
